Lori Skiles

We would like to give a huge and very enthusiastic thank you to Lori Skiles, who has filled so many roles at Springwater, all with her special talent for creating the community spirit that everyone raves about.  Lori has led the Parent Council and been Volunteer Coordinator, personally organizing so many social and community events, large and small, over the past 6 years.

Year end picnic, Campfire connects, Movie night, Volunteer training, Winter dance celebrations, Staff appreciation weeks, and more, all have been instigated and coordinated by Lori Skiles, who puts as much love as energy into all her work.

Children at Springwater:  Tanner (River Otter) and Karsen, Springwater alumni ( OC Freshmen)
 
Secret Weakness:  Chocolate macadamia nuts
 
Everyday Adventure:  Working in the airline industry for the past 22 years,  the truth is,  EVERYDAY is an adventure. Really!
 
Family Summer Enjoyment:  Overnight in the pop-top . . . watching an episode of “I Love Lucy” . . . snugglin’ with kids and the slobbery dog too.  Ahhh, the days of summer at it’s best.

Challenge:  Waikiki Rough Water Swim Competition -   A  2.384  mile open water ocean swim off the shores of Oahu.  I better get my  %@##@   in gear!

Treasures:    Memories  . . . memories of spending my childhood summers in Jackson Hole, Wyo. and taking advantage of all  things that a small ski town has to offer . . . hiking, beautiful rivers and lakes and clean, clear mountain air.
 
What you most enjoy about volunteering at Springwater:   I truly enjoy bringing people together and seizing the opportunities to create good times and lasting memories for our children.   Combining a creative spirit and strong volunteer based community is important to me.  With this, clearly, Springwater will continue to thrive and in the end . . . . so will our children.
