Peace, Love, Pancakes, and Planting

On Friday, February 10th, the students and extended Springwater community enjoyed a lovely pancake brunch served by the Parent Council members, as well as a day of hard work in the field planting 1800 trees with the crew from METRO.  Mayor Doug Neeley visited for the occasion, as did school superintendent Larry Didway, with several school board members. 

A big thank you to everyone who helped with the planting, cooking, serving, bringing supplies, cleaning up, setting up for open house, etc.  METRO and the older kids got lots of trees planted, and the younger kids planted bushes and flowers around the school campus.  See pictures:
