Our Garden

If you are looking for a place to share your time or resources, the school garden welcomes your support! Join us to dig in the dirt or contribute any items you can provide. Time is a valuable donation in the garden and we welcome you, your family members, and anyone who can donate to the site and the classes we teach in it.

Specifically, we are looking for:

– Bags of potting soil
– Native plants (snowberries, currants, ferns, etc.)
– Trees and shrubs (fruit and non-fruiting)
– Tarps
– Soaker hoses
– Hand clippers
– String
– Vegetable, Herb, Flower Seeds

If there are any other garden items, resources, or skills you think would be beneficial, please contact Katherine at kaci@springwaterschool.com.

Our staff and students send a warm thank you to all the supporters who have invested in the garden and the students’ development. A special thank you to the garden class parent volunteers and community supporters who have donated time, energy, and supplies for the development of Springwater’s garden.

We especially want to acknowledge the donations and support of our community partners:

One Green World for numerous edible fruit trees. We can’t wait to get these growing!

Food Waves for the raised beds, soil, seed starts, and their time and energy getting the beds in place

Naomi’s Organic Farm Supply for collecting and donating seeds and housing our ‘wish list’ of garden books. We encourage you to bring your kids to the farm store and ask to see the ‘Springwater Book Wish List’. Don’t be surprised if you find something for yourself as well.

Metro South Transfer Station for unlimited amounts of cardboard for mulching materials.
